Qasr al Bint


A temple thought to be originally dedicated to the main Nabataean god Dushara, consists of three parts, and has in the back part stairs inside the wall that lead you to its roof. Its name means "the palace of the Daughter (of the Pharaoh)" and stories were told about some king building it for the daughter of the Pharaoh. It is the best preserved free standing biulding in Petra.

The Theatre


3000 seats theatre carved in a mountain by the Nabataeans in the first century b.c., the back stage and the thearte itself were enlarged in the time of the Romans in a later stage to fit for 7000 seats.
